hi there! I was just wondering looking at your timeline can I assume it’s taking a year for the whole process. I am due to apply in December as single person online application, any tips on what I can expect and is it safe to leave the country while citizenship is in process as I live alone and miss my family and would finally like to join my family after quite long time living away from them

I think it takes a little less than a year for applications submitted early 2022.
My application was a family application and paper .
The processing time in my experience is unpredictable and it’s difficult to tell what it will be in December.
Once your application is submitted , there is nothing that stops you from travelling out of the country but I believe it is easier to take your test in Canada than abroad . Bring abroad can add to your processing time
Did your test status has been changed to completed in IRCC portal ? I have completed the exam on 10/15 and still shows in Progress and my mail came from Scarborough.
Thank you and mine is still in In progress as of this morning. Hopefully they are yet to address for all the test that has been scheduled from 15th I believe.
passed with 19/20. just read the pages 8 to 50 in the guide 3 or 4 times. no need for any practice or mock tests. no need to memorize dates.
date filed: feb 12
aor: mar 21
bg completed: oct 15
test invite oct 18 window oct 21 to nov 20
test passed oct 21.

I just called IRCC for the status not updated for the citizenship exam completions. However the agent said that their end shows the status as completed (Passed the exam and nothing IRCC officer can do) and it will take another couple of business days for reflection. Can some one advise.
