No. you have to show them a letter that the job is full-time & permanent.. It was not worded properly in my case and they made me to go there 3 times. Also the validity of your permit should be more than 6 months

Thank you for the answer. My job is full time and permanent, but it seems that the "permanent" condition of the job is rather very strick. Is it true that the job must be permanent to have OHIP? I am still waiting for my PGWP (submitted on June 8), and I had started working right after submitting my PGWP application.

It has to be permanent. If you go to Service Ontario they will give you an instruction sheet. There are particular words which have to be mentioned in your letter from the employer. If your employer can give you a letter in the same format then they will not ask you any questions.

One weird thing about my application is that it is not visible in CIC portal for a few weeks now. I tried to add manually but no results. I called support at 1888 242 2100, luckily got connected and confirmed that application is still in process. But I could not confirm why it is not visible in portal as the call dropped. Haven't had a chance to connect again. When I still call the same number, I can check my status through the self-service option and it stays that a decision has not been made.
I just wanted to confirm if anyone else had faced this issue before and was able to add an application to the portal by other means.
