Surely it would have been. But who are we to decide. Lol we are not IRCC agents. Anyways congrats on your AOR.

It's all good at this point, Thanks for answering. I'm good with either an AOR or app returned lol. The limbo and wait isn't the best.
I hope AOR though.

To be fair, mines complicated too. My passport was expired for years, and I haven't really traveled outside the country. I did attach all the letters and such explaining. My PR card is also expired (provided a copy) . I did provide 3 government issued id's in total (only 2 needed). So I think if they take time figuring my application out that's ok with me.

Exactly. Worst case if it gets returned, you can fix it and send it back. Honestly this citizenship processing is not even like 5 day thing. Takes almost a year or so. So won't even make a difference if they return it now then to return later in middle of processing. That would hurt more.

On that point, is it logical to deduce that more trips outside Canada means more time to do background etc kind of checks?

well i have read in a post here i really forgot the link but it was a senior member who said it.

that for quick processing what play a role for fast processing is:

An old person
Be Family and not single
No extensive travel
Employed
Not a citizenship of some " flagged" countries.


( i am the opposite of everything in this list lol dont know if my country is flagged but quiet sure it is )

Register for your online tracking, and ecas (if paper app). Then hurry up and wait for the rest of steps, usually background check and test.

I think if they wanted to return applications, you would have received it by now in your mailbox, it’s been 3 weeks for you

true that. I mean AOR is not like end of this processing instead just a start. But getting it atleast give me some sort of idea which direction we are moving towards.

I am wondering if anyone can get their test invites, oaths & FP requests during winter holiday seasons, that is, during December and January?
I have read some threads where I never saw people getting test invites, oaths & FP request during these 2 months probably due to holiday season. However many got their AoRs during this 2 month period tho. Is it correct that there will be no test invites, FP request n oaths during these 2 months?

It really depends on the their workload. There aim I think is always to clear as much they can before holidays start. I don't think they work or send anything on holidays.

If you dont see a progress by December 2nd week, assume that there will be no progress until January 2nd or 3rd week. People take vacations and take time to come back to work.
