Please reply to me, I feel so disappointed as to why my background is taking too long. What is up with having the test done before background completion?
It seems that anyone who had their background completed, they have their oath ceremony now.
Background check is an enigma, some ppl breeze through it while others get stuck for months. Some get test invite while BGC is in process, and others after completion!!
Sent my passport application in August and still have not heard a thing. They did say I might not get it until January . I can't believe a simple document takes so long.
If I were you I wouldn’t wait for it to arrive via mail. A friend of mine waited more than 2 months and when he inquired at the passport office was told that his guarantor’s signature wasn’t accepted! So basically his application wouldn’t have been proceed hadn’t he inquired in person!!

I see that your office is Montreal. From what I can gather, the Montreal office does things very differently. I did my test as well and my background check is also IP. I see that online applicants who had their tests done in April are having Oath next month. So I would count 5-6 months from the date of the test to Oath (but hopefully sooner).

Don't worry I have seen other people with similar experience.
I have my test completed on July 15th and fingerprints delivered at 25th July and confirmed rcmp sent results on 29th July. Still ircc says they haven't received it yet.
