Yes, you can apply while your application is in process. My GCMS notes came in 3 months. Applied in June, notes came in September.

Got a reply from my MP today as well. No progress on the application yet. Eligibility - Under review, Criminality - Done. That's the update. Nothing else.

Though I find it strange that both my GCMS notes and MP reply came at the same time. Don't know how to read this situation.

I think it's safe to say my application has gone into Review Required limbo.

Anyone out here applied through the old (GC key) and went ahead made another application through the new portal? Apparently, the money gets refunded for the previous application made on the old portal which has been witnessed by few applicants ...

Not sure if it has any impact on the processing time.

Processing time for UAE just reached to 120 days today !! It was 56 days when I filed my TRV in July and has doubled in 2 months. God bless us all...

Same here.. I have submitted my application on 09 July 2022(point of origin: UAE and I have a valid B1/B2 US visa).The funny part is that IRCC has previously announced on 25 Aug 2022 that they are streamlining the processing of visa applications, hiring more officers and they are targeting to process 80% of the TRV applications for this fiscal year below their service standards(i.e. 60 days). The processing time for TRV has been increasing since then.. if they continue like this, only 10% to 20% will be processed within the standard.

Still no update on application applied through GCKey on 11 April. I've now applied again through new portal last week 19 Sept with an invitation letter from me (spouse). Let's see what comes of it.

thank you for the reply @baranoth. May I ask what type of application was this and does reapplying me you will get back in the waiting que? Also, did you get the refund for previous application?
