Hi Everyone. Can someone help me understand when I can see the status of OCI on the OCI website? I can see my status on the BLS website. But it says, " no Record found." on the OCI site; I applied through walk-in on August 31st at Brampton BLS centre.

I have submitted on 6th Aug and Acknowledgement on 23rd Aug. Lets see if any thing happens in this week or not.

you should be okey. but just for precaution, call BLS once

Thanks, hopefully tomorrow the status would change for you as well. mine changed only around 4PM. till afternoon the status was in progress only.

yes its considered damaged, please report it right away to the BLS or directly to CGI

but are you sure it was not torn at your house? its been more than a week you received your Passport how did you missed checking this right when you got it? any babies at home?

Is it better to apply for tourist visa? instead of entry visa?
I'm just wondering which one's quicker.

Sorry for the delay.
You can check with the BLS staff after the processing times (which is faster). A few applicants mentioned to me that the BLS suggested tourist visa instead of entry visa for faster processing.
