Really good number From April 1, 2022, to July 31, 2022, Canada has welcomed over 116,000 new citizens, compared to 35,000 in the same period last year. hopefully, if they keep this past we might see some great movement on our applications.

At least AOR is much faster for most 2022 applicants. If you look at most July/August 2022 applications, AOR seems to be done in 2 weeks tops with some done after a few days both for paper and online applications. That's much faster than for applicants from 2021. We applied at the end of August 2021 online and it took 2.5 months to get AOR by mid-november 2021.

Average of 48 days in January 2022 to an average of 5 days in August 2022 to reach AOR.

Average of 94 days in January 2021 to an average of 60 days in December 2021 to reach AOR. With an average of 75 days in August 2021.
Average of 430 days in January 2021 to an average of 206 days in December 2021 to reach citizenship. With an average of 349 days in August 2021.

Average of 102 days in January 2020 to an average of 80 days in December 2020 to reach AOR. With an average of 128 days in August 2020.
Average of 641 days in January 2020 to an average of 381 days in December 2020 to reach citizenship. With an average of 499 days in August 2020.

Of course this is just a sample of all the applications and its based of the information shared on the forums from fellow applicants (some Canadians now!). So its not accurate. But you can see trends. The averages improve over time.

Hopefully, this translate for you, future Canadians, in reaching citizenship faster.

For us, the Oath of citizenship was done last week on August 18th. So the whole process took a whole year. 12 months which is way better than the 27 months IRCC commits to.

My status is showing in progress when I check through the link in the AOR letter, but in ECAS it says application received.

I got an AOR couple of hours back today on 25th August but I am not able to register on tracker. It says that my details are wrong. I entered exactly as in AOR email.

Wait 24 hours and then try, it will work.

My application (paper) was delivered on Aug 8th 2022. I still haven't got the AOR. Should I call them?

It will take sometime for the system to have your details, please try after a day or two. It will work, same happened to me.
