My partner finally had oath ceremony in Scarborough
Timeline:
Paper application sent: Nov 2020
AOR: Feb 2021
BG Complete: Oct 2021
Test Invite: Jan 2022
Test completed: Feb 2022
BG back to IP: Jun 2022
BG completed again: Jun 2022
Everything except oath completed: June 2022
Oath letter: July 2022
Oath completed and cert received in mail: Aug 2022
MP Office finally got back to me and IRCC mentioned my file is with the responsible office and the next step is to set up the ceremony date. While we understand that this is an important matter for the applicant, we are unable to provide a timeframe for the citizenship ceremony. Rest assured that the responsible office will contact the applicant directly, once a ceremony has been scheduled.
Well then, we about to continue waiting lol At least, I got AOR for my PR renewal. I am really crossing my fingers that something happens before the end of the year.

ugh, this is so silly tbh . It's odd that it is taking this long, at least I know they mailed out my PR card yesterday. Need a vacation while they sort themselves out.

Congratulations @Carla2016, I’ve been following your timeline silently, I’m also from Edmonton office. Glad that things are finally moving after 5 months wait post your test complete. Hope you get Oath sooner.
I’m December 2020 applicant though (with Family of 3), I’ve got FP request from Vancouver CIC to my surprise, wasn’t sure if our file has moved to Vancouver office or FP does always come from Vancouver.

Wondering if you requested an urgent processing for the citizenship certificate? If yes, when - during the ceremony or before? Also what evidence did you provide?
