I still don't have a valid excuse to request urgency and also don't want them to just decide to reject my application or something. But I am thinking of writing again in September, when I should actually have an excuse that they might entertain.
Yes. Unfortunately I am one of the few people for whom it did not work. I only got the following response and nothing after:
Your application is currently in queue to receive a notification to appear for ceremony in the coming months. Please hold off from booking travel so as not to invalidate your PR Status after having taken the Canadian Citizenship Oath.
Should you need to request urgency, please clearly provide your UCI/Application Number, the reason you are requesting urgency and any additional documents that prove urgency. Please note, leisure travel will not be approved for urgency.
I don't believe so; the text of the e-mail invite says to bring your PR card if you have one OR your COPR. I was asked to cut up my PR card, but they didn't ask me to do anything with the COPR. People who became a PR before 2002 are also asked to write "No Longer a Permanent Resident" on their record of landing. You are also asked to *keep* your COPR in your records.

1. Can i use health card and pr card as an identification for oath for myself and the same ( pr card and health card ) for my minor child.
2. After we send the signed oath form do we receive an acknowledgement email?
And
3. Are we required to send signed oath form for minors also or only for adults?
We gave test in Jan. No updates after that. We called and they said nothing is required from your side and the waiting time is 27 months. Do you think we should email them to ask?

" (If applicable) The permanent resident card for each of the minor children associated to your application, whether they participate in the ceremony or not); 2 pieces of personal identification (ID): one must have your photograph and signature on it, e.g. driver’s license, health card one of them can be your Permanent resident card, if your second piece of identification is Canadian federal, provincial or territorial issued ID foreign ID documents must be government-issued, Canadian ones don’t need to be government-issued if they’re not in English or French, you must provide a translation with an affidavit from the translator minors are not required to show identification with a signature; "
2. You get that automated message. I guess you can consider it an acknowledgement.

Parents or guardians also do not need to sign nor send the form on the minor's behalf. "
