Hello,
I am a US citizen living in Europe. My PR card expired 2 years ago and I believe meeting the residency obligations. I booked a flight to Canada with Air Canada for next month.
I would like to know if I need to apply for a PRTD to enter Canada.

As a U.S. citizen, you do not need a PRTD. Since your PR card is expired, do NOT mention anything to AC about being a PR of Canada, since all other people (non-U.S. citizen/Canadian PRs) would need a PRTD to travel via a commercial carrier with an expired PR card. Also, be prepared to be questioned (perhaps at length) by CBSA. They may need you to explain/convince them that you have met the Residency Obligations for maintaining PR status. Even with an expired PR card, you cannot be denied re-entry into Canada by CBSA.
You say that you `believe' that you have met the R.O., but just because you may be resideing with your Canadian spouse abroad, it doesn't always satisfy the requirement; depends on the circumstances of why you are both living outside of Canada. usually, not a problem but sometimes...it is.

Thank you for your answer
I am actually the case of dependent child living with a parent who is a Canadian citizen. I became 22 years old just a couple of months ago.
