August 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

August Fellows, Yesterday completed my oath with my family and today status changed to closed! congrats to all of you here!

Experience was pretty good, straight forward process (overall took about an hour or so)
-ID and location validation
-Been asked for any reason to send certificate of citizenship urgently? (Valid reasons: AZ driver across the boarder, Pilot, Family illness, etc..)
-Been asked to send the signed oath confirmation doc ASAP and been advised that certificates are ready to be mailed by end of this week.
-Cut the PR Cards
-Oath
-Oh Canada
-Pics with Judge.

Congrats on your Oath. Did you and your family logged into zoom under single username like (#10 & #11) (Ex: Seat numbers of yours and Spouse)?
Also did they ask for any proof about the reason for sending the certificate urgently?. Thanks in advance

Yes single access to zoom, instead of your name you put your seat numbers (ex: 100,101,102,..), they didn't ask for any proof! just mentioned that I have business travels on 1st week of Aug.

My ATIP/GCMS notes request deadline came and went 11 days ago. I even sent a follow-up email to that 4-5 days ago. No response to that either. No updates on the tracker (obviously) either. Summer vacations are in full swing

Called IRCC .file being processed by niagara falls now file sent to vancouver and secondary cpc sydney. anyone in the same situation ?

Today I got an email for requesting a copy of my provincial ID, driving license or health care card. Does anybody get an email like that before? I don’t have driving license so I sent my health care card but on that card there is no photo or signature. So I don’t know. Should I get a provincial ID then?

in Ontario you can get a "photo card" which is equivalent to the driving license for those who are not driving. Perhaps there is a similar card in other provinces as well.

What IDs did you use for your original submission?

Just curious because I thought they've designed the ID requirements in a way you need at least one provincial photo ID. Like if you you use your PR card as one ID they need the other ID has to be from a Canadian government (so you can't use your foreign passport + PR card).

In any case, every province will have a form of photo ID exclusively for those without a Driver's License. You can apply for that asap, it'll be a few weeks normally to get it by mail.

Got the same type of email last Sunday requesting a provincial ID. Replied to their email on Monday, with photos of the health insurance card. We did include, Name, file number and UCI event if the email stated to not change the email title and include the file number.

Tuesday got an email :

You will NOT receive a response to your enquiry via this email. A decision/response to your request or notification of submission will be added to your file in our system within 5 business days of receipt. At that time, you must contact the Client Support Centre for further information.
This mailbox should ONLY be used to provide requested documentation or to provide a reasonable explanation for not being able to attend an online test, interview or ceremony‎ (with documentary evidence). Please ensure your email includes your full name, file number and UCI.

Any requests received other than those outlined above will be automatically deleted and not processed.

I used my PR card and passport if I am not mistaken. But how they let me submit my application then? I completed my test.

We did the same, the PR card and passport. And the application was accepted and got AOR back in November 2021. The guide at the time specified the passport could be used as one identification document. Otherwise, they would specifically request at least one provincial ID. That was not the case back in August 2021. I don't know if the application process has changed since then.

Thank you! Mine doesn’t have. So I guess I need to apply for provincial ID then. This will make my process take longer
