My cousin, who applied via SDS on April 5th (and her biometrics on the 9th of April) got her PPR three days ago. Plus, following some Reddit and Youtube channels where people who applied between the 1st and 15th of April (in India) are receiving their decisions.
i think it also depends on your intake- if your intake is jan they wont give you your visa soon because IRCC fears that students then enter the country sooner and start working - which is not allowed- so its even possible that you get it around oct/nov... thats what i think - im not sure- so dont worry unnecessarily you have time tho - you will get your visa before jan for sure )
Thank you! I figured it would take longer but I wanted to be in the system soon in case I get rejected, I could fix any issues and reapply. Thanks for your kind words though, Suzanne. ✌

Not sure if this is a glitch, but the standard processing times have changed. I just saw that for a student permit applied from outside Canada, the waiting time is now 9 weeks.
