Yes, but things are random sometimes, like I met a gut at a photocopy shop and he said he got his Student visa under non-SDS withing 7 days .. then on youtube there is a guy who said he got the ppr withing 2 days after giving biometrics under sds...

Cant really say - i filled my application online on 9th and my biometric was on 14th - on 14th itself it got updated to submitted. when was your biometric done?

Submitted the application on 20th May, Biometrics done & updated on 24th May.
Status changed to submitted around 20th June

Hi everyone!!

Congrats to everyone getting their student visa acceptances- its really motivating to see that IRCC is on it and people are actually getting their visas on time!

Though i think most Indian students are still facing issues. I finished my biometrics on June 14th and have applied via Student Direct Stream...really hoping to get my visa by aug end latest as class start on Sept 06th!

Has anyone applied around the same time and is worried just like me? please tell me im not alone! :O

ohh thats strange!! hope you get lucky with the medical update and that gets done soon- because i hear once the medical is updated is when they start reviewing your visa

I had an upfront Medical in March so I'm hoping I won't have to face the medical delay atleast. It shows "You do not need a medical at this point" in my account.. or is it the same message for everyone?

Can someone please help me prepare a study permit application? I have paid my fees, GIC account and medical is done too. I need further help or advise in preparing study permit application. Or if someone can suggest good consultant please? it is very urgent. Thank you!

My timeline so far:

SDS. India. Jan'23 intake.

Upfront medical: 7th May
File lodged: 27th May
Biometrics done and processed: 1st June

Since then, it's been radio silence. I still haven't seen my medical processed but since it's taking about 12 weeks for everyone to get their visa processed under SDS, I guess it's at least two more months of waiting, eh?

it shows the same for everyone but i think it does need to be updated

i think it also depends on your intake- if your intake is jan they wont give you your visa soon because IRCC fears that students then enter the country sooner and start working - which is not allowed- so its even possible that you get it around oct/nov... thats what i think - im not sure- so dont worry unnecessarily you have time tho - you will get your visa before jan for sure )
