Does this mean that you can just walk-in and collect you OCI?
AS my status also shows the same today and I called B(L)S they they said I have to pay for courier and they will send it.
I said I told them that I will pick up myself when I applied.
And the guy said "Did you get an authorization for pick up?"
WTF ?? :O

yeah I just picked up mine. You need authorization letter if you are picking up for you spouse. For Kids you need authorization letter from your spouse too if you are going alone.

Picked up my OCI today. Done with BLS BS for a while now. Thanks everyone on this forum for every bit of help on this long journey (Work permit, PR, Citizenship, Surrender and finally OCI)

Hi Everyone- My spouse's Indian passport expired in Sep 2021 and we did not renew it as our citizenship was in process. Now that we have our citizenship and Canadian passport I'm trying to fill up a online application for OCI. But it is not accepting spouse passport details for the reason- 'passport must be valid for 6 months'. Is there a way out, there is no point renewing the Indian passport now.
Please suggest , am I missing some information regarding expired passports for OCI? Your help is much appreciated.

OCI application requires a Canadian Passport with 6 months Validity, i wonder why you are using Indian passport details. Canadian Passport details are Mandatory fields for expiry dates.

With an expired passport you should have issue while applying for a Surrender certificate but not at OCI application. (for my son they ask for a cover letter as it expired in April 2021 while citizenship in progress for Oath).

My OCI also same state. Usually Purolator pick it up on same day ( evening or next day). For sure we will get it delivered latest by Monday( Will be delivered tomorrow if they pickup by EOD today)

They will update on the tracker itself if I am not wrong. I haven't applied yet for OCI but my surrender has the tracking number on the BLS tracking. I believe it should be the same for other application types too.

i just checked the sample form.

Please enter Canadian / foreign passport details.

Here foreign passport means for example American or Philippino passport but not Indian Passport.

So just enter Canadian and you should be fine as everyone doing the same.

@canadamaple When did you apply ? For in-person submission at BLS Brampton on 16th May ack on OCI portal was on 27th May my exp.

I am an Ottawa applicant and the acknowledgement date on the OCI portal is May 25th. All I see is 'under process' on the OCI portal.

I dont see anything wrong in submitting a request either through Sampark or any other means.

Try Sampark and also email BLS Ottawa office & then you may also go through following escalation matrix & refer escalation 2 and 3, https://www.blsindia-canada.com/ottawa-jurisdiction/escalation-matrix.php

Just FYI, Level 2 and 3 escalation is same for all regions.

You have waited just about it takes for Vancouver applicants to see a status change in this duration. You being an Ottawa applicant (not that it should matter for OCI), give them some more time I would day (may be a week). Rest assured it won't be as bad as Ottawa BLS holding onto your originals.

Hahah. I agree with you. I think I will wait for a week or so. Maybe I will see some progress. With BLS holding onto my originals for 50 days, I honestly lost my sleep. hahaha.
