July 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi all,
my status changed to DM in the old tracker and the new tracker updated on 8 Jun as all completed except the Citizenship ceremony - Not start. I did not receive any email about the Oath date yet. But I am traveling abroad (my daughter will study abroad for 1 year)on 12 July ,so I don't think IRCC will assign me a date before our departure date.

So, should I write an email to IRCC and request an urgent case? we are July 2021 paper application with Case Processing Centre - Sydney.

What's your office- your test invite should have that information. Please email them and they can schedule an oath sooner hopefully.

Fingerprints Requested: Mar 14
Fingerprints Received: Mar 20
Background Completed: Apr 21
Language, Prohibitions, Physical Presence Completed: June 6
Oath Ceremony: Waiting

I did the oath today. As I said a complete waste of time and money.

Oh there are lots of wild people who have never been in a zoom meeting before. It's a zoo basically. I was really pissed.

It's better to let us do it privately. We're not kids. No need for their administering oath.

They should just record us taking the oath and review it like they so with the test. No need to attend zoom ceremonies. And what does being in Canada have to do with my swearing in? I can be on the moon (provided there is internet there) and still do my oath to be a Canadian citizen. Ridiculous antiquated nonsense.

Applied from Victoria but judging from the test invite email, it’s in Calgary office

Oath invite received on tracker today. It’s scheduled for July 4th, no emails yet.

For my spouse also everything completed except oath.

Most likely it came from Vancouver BC office.
Also try reading the full topic of the email. It's pretty long and is usually cut off on the screen. Mine says - Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada - Communication to client/Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada - Communication auprès de la clientèle - IRCC Surrey CXXXXXXX
