Thank you. I just read the material twice. On google there are multiple sites that are offering for free practice questions. I practiced using some of those sites.
Hello all. We just checked our application status and we are required to take the citizenship test in the next 3 weeks (we have not received the invitation email yet) the problem is we are currently on a trip. Does it worth to email them and ask them to take the test from outside Canada or is it gonna have a negative impact on our application? We can also cut our trip short and come back for the test ... Any suggestions?
(Here's our timeline:
Location: Montreal
Physical Days: 1,192
Method: Paper
Applicants: Family (2 applications)
Application sent: March 17, 2022
Delivered: March 23, 2022
AOR: April 20
Test invitation status update: June 13 (Email invitation: Not received yet))
I looked at the citizenship status tracker excel spreadsheet and based on my analysis, it seems like online applicants in the past have typically taken 1-2 months longer than paper applicants to move from the 'In Progress' stage to the 'Test Invite' stage. So I'm hoping that we (online applicants) see some progress by July/August. The good news is that it seems like once you receive your test invite, the speed of processing then on is more or less the same for online and paper applicants. Keep calm and grind on online folks!
I mailed our application by paper by courier delivered Mar 22nd 2022. Until now I haven't received AOR. anyone on the same boat as I am?
Location: Winnipeg
Method: Paper
App sent: Mar 18
AOR:????
When I check the status of my application I see the updated date changes but nothing else changes, this has happened twice now that the updated date has changed but nothing else, everything else is still in progress. Does everybody else see / have the same happening?
The only email that I have received after AOR was from CIC-Vancouver requesting fingerprints. That email included the statement.
“Your application for Canadian Citizenship remains at your local office for processing.”
But no where does it state what the local office. I live in Ontario halfway between Toronto and Ottawa. Actually closest to Scarborough. Is it possible that it is processing in the Vancouver office?
I read somewhere that all fingerprints get sent to Vancouver regardless of where you live in Canada. This says nothing about the local office that processes your application.
