I have a question. I confirmed my criminality passed in March by calling IRCC. However, when I got an update from MP, my criminality is in progress. Do you guys why this happen?
My MP told me everything passed, and when I call IRCC I was told everything not started. Who should I believe?

Lol, that's exactly the opposite!
However, MP has a different source for update than the client center agent. I believe MP can get in touch with the processing office directly and their information is more accurate than the IRCC agents.

You’re eligible for an open work permit if you meet all of the following:
- you’re a spouse/common-law partner or dependent child of a principal applicant for the permanent resident (PR) pathway
- you’re 18 years of age or older
- you’re in or outside Canada
- you apply online
- the principal applicant applied and is eligible for an open work permit under this public policy
- Your application will be refused if the principal applicant has not applied for an open work permit under this public policy.
- the principal applicant included you as an accompanying family member in their PR application

Ask your MP if he/she can send the form requested on your behalf. If so, fill a new imm5406 and sent it to your MP.
If your MP says that it's not possible, prepare an explanation letter and mention the situation happened. Include your conversion with your MP in the letter and send the letter and the form by webform.
