PR Card Renewal & New - 2022 Processing Timeline

We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 29, 2022.
We started processing your application on March 29, 2022.
Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on May 12, 2022.

Yay anyone who has had this how long did you receive it in the mail ?

Hi everyone,

timeline for my PR card renewal below:

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on February 11, 2022.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 8, 2022.
3. We started processing your application on March 8, 2022.

I haven't heard anything else since then. I have to travel for a wedding in early July, and will need my new PR card to apply for a visa. I'm really worried that I won't get my PR Card in time. I did contact them and they said the card was sent for production...that was a month ago.

I'm not sure if this is normal and if there is anything else I need to do. If anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate it.

Did you call them again ? Some people were getting their cards sooner then others probably because the person working on their card was moving quicker. Call them again you might get an agent that is a little more informative. It took 76 days from when they received mine for it to be mailed.

Application received by CIC on 8th April, still no AOR. Residency days 849, but a fair bit of travel in the last 5 years. Is that any reason for delaying the processing ?

I wasn’t ever sent AOR but did get my application back about 2 months after they received it because my pictures were damaged. I’d keep a close eye on your mail just in case.

Ok then after you sent the application back did you get the AOR ?

I am still waiting for AOR, it was received on May 6th so I’m hoping for AOR within the next 2 weeks. Hopefully it doesn’t get sent back again.

still no emails and no updates.

Congrats!! My application was received on 7th April 2022 and decision made on April 28th but still no further messages. Are there more checks being made after decision made which causes any delays ?

Hello,
- Canada Post delivered my application on April 20th.
- May 9th email confirmation.
- May 9th started processing.
- May 10th able to see on ECAS "decision made".

Update:
1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on April 20, 2022.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May 9, 2022.
3. We started processing your application on May 9, 2022.
4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on May 19, 2022.
5. Received PR in my mail on May 24th (BC).

You were right it got returned and I received it on 20th May, their letter was dated 27th April. A total waste of almost 2 months. Sending it back again today. Did you get your AOR yet ??
