Hi all, I completed my test in early April and then last week my tracker had update to “background check” in progress, I believe that’s the correct term without checking.

Is this the next stage before oath invite and is this particularly long?

My citizenship test has been marked as complete today! Still waiting on them to receive my fingerprints. I wonder if RCMP has a backlog

Applied for citizenship nov2020. Test done and update completed on dec 28 2021.

Since then no more advancement. All fuelds on my application is showing "completed" as of january 04 2022. CITIZENSHIP NOT STARTED.

i am with ottawa office. Is anyone i this group have the same with ottawa office?

When I was taking the test a computer update popped up and I clicked it away to remind me in 30 minutes. The test asked if I was still there. I hope that won't impact my test.

I had the same thing when I wrote my test in march, there was no issues!

Yay my statuses just changed to completed! Waiting for the letter inviting me to take the oath!

There's quite a number of people in Ottawa who didn't get oath months after DM. Some Ottawa oath cases are transferred to Niagara Falls office to handle as I heard.

Hi , I am also with Ottawa Office. Completed my Test Dec 18th and everything is showing completed as well as of march 2nd but nothing since then.. still just waiting and hoping before the end of summer I will get the oath date. Let's hang in there, fingers crossed very soon

What have I done to you man!! why you are not asking me hah!
Anyway I called them today and my passport is in process. Agent told me "may be" I can receive my passport withing next 10-15 days.
Now with having a huge backlog I am not expecting anything sooner!!!
