Visit Visa Application (Using the new IRCC Portal)

Hi All I am applying for Visitor Visa.
Scenario
Applicant(Female) and Kid are visiting Canada.
The persons living in Canada are: Mother in Law(PR), Brother in Law and his family(Citizen).

Now while using new PR portal. it asks for applying for single or for group.
I chose group because 2 persons are travelling.

Now for Main Applicant I chose from provided options, To visit other family who are not listed above
and for kid I chose from provided options, visiting grand parent.

is all the above steps correct or am I doing it wrong?

applied on 23rd Feb for parent's visitor visa, still waiting. Singapore visa Office processing the applications.

Unfortunately VV for my brother was refused.

It looks like on same day as PPR. I am sure I didn’t see the in-progress message 2 days before PPR.

I have my sister tied with this application but her refusal is not yet received. She is below 22 and dependent child to my parents with her mild disability related to cerebral palsy.

Hi Did you get reply yet for your sister?
I got PPR for my parents but my brother got refusal
Though my brother is overage (37) but dependent on my parents due to polio

VV on the new portal for my MIL. My wife and I are permanent residents.

March 1: Visa submitted
March 3: Eligibility started and biometrics updates (biometrics were given in 2020)

Its been almost 70 days no movement ever since.

Just wondering, my sister applied for visitor visa recently and got her Biometrics done on May 4th. She applied through travel company. They are not giving login id and password as they apply for all of their customers using same login. Now my question is, can I create a login and link my sister application so I can check status myself??

Hi, my brothers applying visitor visa through new portal. When he’s uploading documents they are asking him to upload his employment letter in Canada or an employer that he will be working with in Canada.
He’s applying for visitor visa to visit me and he has clearly stated that so why is there an option of such? Or is he required to upload his current employment letter of his current job at where he resides?

employer in canada is an optional document , you can skip that
