Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

Yea, it took me 190-ish calls to get through to them yesterday. Unfortunately just have to set some time aside to do it. Definitely frustrating. There were only 60 or so ahead of me (at about 4pm PST) which took about 45 minutes.

I think it is easier to getbin during office hours as people are calling less when working. I strted at 0730 sharp more than 300 times and it went through around 10 am

Hi guys. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to transfer an application to your local office?

Over phone i was told 1 day. She said there is no guarantee that it will transfer because passport office can reject transfer.

Application received= 13th of April, 2022
CC charged = 6th of May, 2022

It has been a month since the card got charged Apr 6th. App got delivered March 14th. Let us see what happens in another 2 weeks. Still hesitant to spend $1000 on flight tickets and accommodation for getting this PP faster! Can I just go to Detroit and call that as a travel emergency? In-fact I need to close an American bank account in the near future for which I need to travel to Detroit. I live near Windsor.

It takes 4-5 business days for transfer
one day is for passport office to accept your transfer . post that your physical forms need to be transferred

No, your card being charged does not mean it's approved. It means that they started processing it though.
