You do not need permission for your travel. If you have a valid work permit/study permit and a TRV you can leave Canada and come back.
However, if you travel to your home country and stay for more than 30 days, once you come back to Canada apply for a new PCC and notify IRCC about your travel.
In case, you receive your portal while you are away, you have 30 days to respond to the email. Come back to Canada and then reply to portal email.
Thank you very much!! Really appreciate it.
Just one more question, can I upload my PCC while I am in India? or do I need to be in Canada for uploading documents? No AOR yet.

Hi all,

I need to travel to home country, but plan to do so as soon as I get portal or COPR.

You can look at my timeline in my profile.

Is it OK to travel? I only plan to stay for 1 week then come back to Canada.
I have a valid work permit that is still good for 2 years.

Should I:

1) Not travel until I receive the PR card in my hand?
2) Can travel as soon as I receive COPR?
3) Can travel when I receive portal?

What should I do while being away from Canada? Is there any paperwork that should be done for PR, or should I just keep quiet and just treat the trip like a normal holiday?

Thanks guys!!

No worries. Either way it's OK.
But since you need to mention your travel duration in imm5562, do it when you come to Canada. Update all forms and send one webform.
Just keep in mind that you need TFN or application number for webform. If you don't have any, wait until you got it and then notify the IRCC.

When you receive your eCOPR, your WP or study permit or TRV is no longer applicable to you. Because you are a permanent resident of Canada, meaning that you cannot use them to travel back to Canada. You need your PR card for this.
However, if you want to travel outside of Canada and come back while you are waiting for your PR card, you need to get a "permanent resident travel document (PRTD) " which should be applyed from outside Canada.
https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1458&top=10

It's a document that shows you are a permanent resident and are allowed to enter the country.
You cannot use your eCOPR for this purpose.

@SmzAmir can you please guide me with the following. Your help is always much appreciated.

Cic sent me adr for pcc . In the letter they're not mentionning the pcc of the country they need. My application is an inland IG application.

The letter says :
"Police certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six month or longer....provide an original police clearance certificate".

Since i have been in canada for couple years now do i also need a pcc from canada, or only the one from my home country ?

Thank you in advance for you help

You only need to provide one from your home country.
In IRCC website, it's mentioned that you do not need to provide Canadian PCC for the duration of your stay in Canada:
"You don’t need to give us police certificates for any period of time before you were 18 years old or for time spent in Canada."

Hey,
I experienced something weird my TR-PR Application. I submitted application on 6th May 2021 around 1930 hours. I didn't see any movement in the application and also got CEC invitation on 14th September 2021 so I withdrew my application in October 2021 and got full refund.
Yesterday, I tried to link my TR to PR application in my CIC profile with UCI, Last name and Passport combination. I linked the application successfully and it shows that medical passed on 1st April 2022 and they also have my biometrics updated from my CEC application. BG status is: we are processing your BG check.
I have submitted webform with all the updated information and also requested them to consider my application again as I am willing to pay the application fees.
My CEC application is in Edmonton and is stuck in its final security/criminality phase.
I was wondering if someone else has same experience.

Hello Everyone, I have linked my application on April 11, 2022 (Stream B, non-healthcare). At the time of my application, I submitted a new PCC from my home country, but the IRCC again asked me to submit a PCC. I did not go outside Canada after I entered Canada for the first time. I never stayed more than 6 months in any foreign country. Can I submit the old copy of the PCC that I submitted during the TRTOPR application? Do I have to submit the PCC from RCMP as well?

Hi guys!

Submitted my application under TR to PR June 26, 2021 up until now still no AOR.

Most of my friends who also did TR to PR have already received their AOR and others are already PR.

This is already making me anxious and losing interest.

Hey, I submitted the application on 7th May,2021 under IG stream. I received my AOR, and ADR on 16th Feb,2022. I submitted the ADR Documents on 9th March,2022. Before 13th April, I was able to see "We are reviewing the additional documents you provided". But on 13th April,2022, it got updated,
"April 13, 2022 We are reviewing the additional documents you provided." , (Date has been updated). Does anyone have idea about how much time it takes after this?
