May 2021 - Citizenship Applications

Not sure if this is correct, but the majority of people who got their citizenship in the past 6 months, were those who applied towards the end of 2019. These people endured a lot of delays with Covid and all. So, hopefully this 6 months average of 27 month processing time is just a misleading representation.

Even I thought so. It is just to let people know that they are indeed working on old applications. I believe so, based on their explanations how the processing time is calculated (80% of the applications processed in last 3 months or something like that).

And, that's a good thing.

January 19, 2022: FP request
January 26, 2022: Test Invitation
February 3, 2022: Test status updated to "complete"
February 15, 2022: FP results received by IRCC
February 16, 2022: Background check status updated to "complete"
March 4, 2022 - passport copies requested by IRCC.
March 8, 2022 - I submitted my passport copies.

I'm still waiting to hear back from IRCC regarding my passport copies... Language skills, physical presence, and prohibitions are still in progress. The waiting game has been very demoralizing.
