I already went through 4 months between test and interview. Now I have to wait for another 4 months?!

I wouldn’t have thought so. You’ll probably get oath pretty quick after the interview as I think the interview finalizes the application. But honestly, who knows with IRCC. They play by their own rules.

Not to long ago I was here on this forum looking for help for Spousal Sponsorship - now I am back again with desperation and hope for some answers. Would really appreciate if anyone of you could help me out or point us in the right direction - this waiting game is taking a toll on mental health especially with everything that is going around in the world.


We applied for my spouse Citizenship on 20th May and till today we just the status online as in Progress - they had requested for finger prints back in Mar 2021 which they had received in Jun 2021 - Since then it is just quiet with zero update.

Language Skills / Background Verification / Physical Presence / Prohibitions are showing IN PROGRESS , since that day. Was looking at the tracker for most of you here and its a clear sign that our application fell through the crack or something.

Any thoughts or advise, no how to get this ball rolling ? Really appreciate all the help

i feel so hopeless. i have no update on my application since April 23, 2021. how are people from 2021 already got their citizenships? im so angry and frustrated, and also very down.

We are in this together - dont give up hope yet ! It is extremely frustrating to see 2021 applicants already getting their passport but for others there is just no news. Hoping we hear something soon, as the last update was they were process applications received between Oct -Nov.

Curious to know if getting an interview means - they wanna ask further questions beyond what are in the documents ? or they just want to see you in person ?

Other members said they wanna check passport stamps and IDs as said in their email. I don't know. I'll let you know.

Back to your question - couldn't find any detail description about location on notes. Was also checking this thread for information but its mostly for Sponsorship [https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...-explained-has-never-before-until-now.390292/]

I feel for you, I do not think you mean clinical depression, I think you mean sad and frustrated.... Brace it man....

Indeed its tough .. yes we can wait but it also helps to get some sort of hope. If it helps, try not to keep checking for updates everyday - it may add to your anxiety as it is. Take your time - eventually you will find out which way it goes. Stay safe - feel better.
