Hello guys!

Am I the only one from the Paris office applying? Here's my situation: I applied for a visitor visa on January 19. Eligibility - done, and the status "Activity status updated: Background verification status has been updated to In progress" appeared on February 13. Since then, there has been complete silence. I've emailed them several times through the web form, and they keep saying the application is still under review. It’s already been 4 months — is that even normal? The official website says the processing time is 37 days. What should I do?

Background can take a long time depending on citizenship and where you have lived. To do immigration/security checks then IRCC waits on information from those countries and that can take many months.
