See my timeline in my signature....ive got two emails in the past two hours saying your application has been updated with no change whatsoever when i log in....how many ppl have experienced this before....what should i be expecting ???

happens all the time. general consensus is that anytime CIC access the profile this e-mail is sent. Nothing to worry about and no expectations from it. When something is needed you'll get a request.

I've had it quite a few times as well, and the last one was over the weekend, but saw nothing, so I checked my ECAS, and actually I got access. There is nothing in the email mentioning about ECAS access at all. I am guessing that sometimes the immigration officer opens your applications just to check a few information, or even open it by accident, and when they close it, we get notified. That is just my guess though.
