writing ielts ,,,,help here

Today I have appeared in ielts and i wrote more than 150 for task 1 (academic) about 200 then for task 2 about 300 words ,, will i loose my marks for this or is it okay???

Because i know writing minimum words will be penalized is it same for more than limit ??

I don't think so that you will loose marks. there are lot of practice test where the essay goes beyong minimum word.

unless something has change overnight, which I am not aware of !!

yaa there is penalty only for less words not for more words

Guy's. Today I got my results - hopefully i have achieved my requirements that is overall 6.5 not less than 6

But i recommend you DO NOT WRITE TOO MANY WORDS BECAUSE IT WILL BE PENALIZED,, in my case i had a better writing than this band score ,,

By the way , i am happy with this score
