WP Due for renewal in two weeks..please advise

I had come to Canada with Intra company transfer and my WP is expiring in mid December. My company HR ( in Usa) had hired a lawyer and they had submitted a WP extension application a month back. They provided me a copy of application confirmation and said I can stay in Canada based on WP renewal application. They are also processing my Express Entry.

I recently went to renew my Ontario health card and they told me unless a renewed WP is in hand, they wont renew my health card.

Do I need to leave the country before WP expires.

Can I live in Canada without a heath card.

Technically, you're under implied status so you can continue staying and working in Canada.
And yes you cannot renew your health card until you have a approved work permit so try not to get sick or anything
