Working remotely from within Canada

I am Canadian and if I am sponsoring my Common Law partner (British) for Permanent Residency from within Canada, can she legally work for a US company remotely during the application process?

If you're asking if she needs an LMO or work permit, the answer seems to be no based on what you've written. It's always a good idea to verify with CIC though.
