Hi

I'm am from the UK and am working out my points for a skilled worker visa to Canada. Discounting Education I have 52 points so I need a minimum of 15 points from the education category to make the '67'.

I had 12 years of secondary education (1972 to 1984) after which I joined an aeronautical company and completed a full 4 year Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship in 1988. During my Apprenticeship I studied part time (10 hours a week) for two years and was awarded an Engineering Diploma in 1986.

Will this enable me to claim the 15 points in the "A one-year diploma, trade certificate or apprenticeship AND at least 13 years of full-time or full-time equivalent study" category?

Still am not quite sure what "full-time equivalent study" means.

Thanks for any help. Very much appreciated.

Actually if you have a recognized C&G apprenticeship that was completed, it will give you 22 points.
