Working before applying for student permit

I want to apply for a study permit for continuing my further studies in Canada. I have just graduated as an engineering and currently live in India and am looking to apply for the winter term in January 2018. Since I will be staying here until my process gets completed, is it possible to work a full time job until I get my visa? Will this be a problem when my visa is under process?

You can do what you want whilst still in India but you cannot work in Canada without a work permit or when you start your classes you can work part time under your study permit.
