Can someone travel to Canada if he doesnt have a job offer but a worker w-1 visa of 1 year validity?? or he should have a job offer of the same employer under which his/her lmo was approved?
because in my quick research i ve found that u r suppose to show your documents (lmo + job offer etc) at port of entry by immigration officer so that he ll give you a work permit.
W1 is a TRV which allows you to work for 1 year validity , this visa is issued after a positive LMO & a valid job offer, but now my question is what if embassy issued a visa after a processing period of 9+3 months meanwhile job offer is expired , will Border agency allow this person to enter in Canada or not .
What do you mean by "expired" job offer? If you mean that the company backed out, then yeah, they aren't going to give you a work permit most likely. When I first entered Canada as a worker (W-1 visa too), they took my job offer which said that my expected date to start was May 1st, although it was technically "expired" because it was already May 31st when I arrived due to delays...it was still valid since it was just an estimate. I arrived on a Sunday so they didn't call my office to verify, although I entered Canada with a person who works for the office that offered me the job.
So yeah...you can try and get a work permit at the border, but if there's no job waiting for you any more, you're taking the risk of being denied entry to Canada.

Having this kind of visa entitles you to gain entry to Canada as a worker ONLY and since you don't have job offer anymore you will not be given a work permit at the port of entry.
