Hello all,
Currently, my PR application is in-progress. I secured a job in Canada and my employer informed me that they will be applying for a Work Permit so that I can go work for them.
Since my PR application is already in-process, am I eligible for applying for a Work Permit? I have done lots of research on this topic and it seems like I could not find a definite answer, if you guys have any inputs, please suggest.

Yes - you're eligible for a work permit.

Thank you Scylla, for your inputs. Would you please direct me to the URL or the blog where I can read more about this?
Second Question: I heard Dual Intent Category, Will I fall under this category? While applying for Work Permit should I mention my PR Application which is in-progress?
Does the work have an approved LMIA if it is required for the job. You’d have to apply for the work permit yourself.

How to know that? I was told that the employer would be applying for it.
Also, do I need to send an update on my PR Application with this new Job Offer in Canada?

Technically a lawyer can file on your behalf but the employer files for the LMIA.

Are you using the job offer for points?

Hello Canuck
No, when I submitted my Express Entry and my PR application I did not have this job offer.
