My husband just got the positive LMO! It is long waiting (11 weeks) today. Now he needs to apply for work permit. He has a US green card and is thinking about getting working permit at port of entry. Does anyone have experience to obtain the work permit at the port of entry and is it possible to be rejected?
Thanks for your help,
hui

1. He can apply at the border, with the valid LMO, passport, green card, fee. It can be refused if the VO phones the job and it no longer exists, there is a strike on, or your spouse has a criminal record.
Re: Work Permit at port of entry
Thanks. It seems like it has low risk to be rejected with work permit application with positive LMO, right? We are preparing the relocation and do not have time to cross the border to get the work permit before his start date. So he is thinking to get it when he is on his way there.
