Hi, I am an undergrad student with a valid study permit and an off-campus work permit and I need a work permit, any ideas on how I'll go about doing that??? besides after I graduate!!! The reason why I need a work permit is to apply for a PNP, the asked me for a work permit NOT offcampus one in order to be eligible for PNP, of course with a Permanent Job Offer. PLEASE ANY IDEAS WOULD BE DEEPLY APPRECIATED GUYS.

what I understood is that you are "still studying" on a student visa and holds off campus work permit ! And now you are aspiring for full work permit !
Am I right ?

1. You can not apply for full work permit without completing your under graduation.
2. Once you finished your graduation, you will get "certificate of completion" (Not transcript or degree) from your school. Attach that certificate along with an application which is available online on CIC Website, and apply to "Case Processing Centre, Vegreville, Alberta". It normally takes 2 to 3 months to get full work permit for International students.
2. You MUST apply with in 90 days of completing your graduation.
3. You can apply for PNP only if you,
-hold recognised diploma, degree of atleast 1 year duration (equal to 8 months of academic studies) from anywhere in Canada.
-have full time job offer and atleast 6 months of working experience with such job.
-exception - if you hold 1 year master degree in Natural science (doctor, nurse etc), then you can apply for PNP in British Columbia without any job offer.
Thank you so much, I do understand that. The thing is I can not afford school at the moment and I wanna discontinue my studies and apply for a work permit instead, am not sure if there is a way to do that???

1. Its not possible to apply for Post Graduate Work Permit with discontinued studies.
2. Yes, you can still apply for Open Work Permit with discontinued studies. If you have any "Skills" (as classifed under N.O.C List) thn get a job offer letter from the employer and apply for Work Permit...... look so easy ! Isn't that ? . Well, you must have some skills based on NOC and when you apply for permit thn Labour Market Opinion (L.M.O) is taken into consideration by the Immigration. Your prospective employer is required to give one undertaking to the immigration that despite his best efforts he failed to find anyone for the job.
You better continue your studies and get work permit based on that...
Thank you so much, I really do appreciate it
