First of all, I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but here I go.
I'm a software developer with 8 years of experience and I didn't finish my bachelor, from 4 years I did complete 3.5 years only, hence I don't have a diploma/degree. That wasn't an issue for me to live and work as a software developer in Berlin for a while.
Here's the thing, I'm in contact with a startup based in Vancouver and they seem to be very interested in hiring me, the question is; does my lack of diploma/degree would be a problem to get a visa/work permit there?
I did some researches all around the Web (include in this forum) but it's unclear for me whether it would be possible or not. The startup itself is doing its researches about this situation, but as I would be their first person in this situation they also don't know if this would be a problem or not.

If you have a number of years of experience in the profession they want to hire you for, this shouldn't be an issue. The tough part will be getting an approved LMIA so that you can apply for a work permit - unless you qualify to get a Working Holiday Visa through the IEC program (although that's a lottery so certainly far from guaranteed).
