I applied for asylum while I was doing my grad studies in Canada and graduated in October 2016. Soon I applied for a work permit. Ideally three years work permit is given. However, as my immigration paper was expiring in Nov. 8, I was given a work permit that also expires on the same date on Nov. 8. Recently my asylum application was accepted and I also found a job. This job requires at least one year's work permit. However, as I already mentioned, my work permit expires in 5 months. My question is can I apply for a work permit at this point?
