I am a US citizen that has a valid study permit until April 2012, I did complete one semester but do not plan to continue. I have been offered a job and need to get a LMO. Only issue is that the job hires people as Independent Contractors that work off of commission. It is a very good job that averages approx $1000-$2000 per week and upwards to $5000 and is with one of North America's largest publicly traded companies.

I have been researching for the last month to try and figure this out, since technically I will not be working for the company, I would be working for myself as an Independent contractor re-signing contracts for the company so there is no salary from the company just commission checks.

They really want to hire me, and I really want to work for them but not sure about the LMO, I spoke with the company and they said they can put an approx average dollar amount under "Other"

Also I plan on getting married soon (next couple months) in Canada to my GF of 2 years that I have known for 3 Years who is a Canadian Citizen but want to have a job and a work permit done before the sponsorship and inland PR application

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated,
~M

also if a LMO comes back negative (it gets denied) does that affect future applications? i have two offers on the table, the first one mentioned above is a lot better, wondering if it doesn't work out since it is a commission based job will they look at the next LMO application any differently or not?

Thanks
~M
