i have a open work permit and my pnp with same employer. The open work permit will be expiring in 2 months. i have applied my PR under paper based provincial categories.

you got AOR and you should apply extend work permit online or paper, then just wait the new work permit come back

I heard many get wp extension refused at the border when they are pnp.
The officers tell them they do not extend as the extension should be applied for online.
This happened to couple pnp I know.
It is safest to just apply online right away for your extension.
Until your new wp arrives if it should not come in time you can still keep on working as you will be under implied status
