Work permit extension as protected person

Has anybody applied or renew their work permit as protected person? I apply on June 2nd 2020 and still no update yet. Just wondering how long will it take to get another work permit?

Wow that's long! Even though, it is not an issue if your work permit has expired or will expire during the pandemic. You are still eligible for work.
But still, for an online application, seems very long.

You need to login to your GCkey account or SignIn Partner (two options to create online account - link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html) and then once you have the account, scroll down the page to go to Apply for Work Permit etc option.
