Work permit expired!

Hi,
I need some advice on my application. My owner had applied for lmia five months back from today. And during this period i was under workpermit which was valid till August 12th. So, on august 9th, three days before my workpermit expires, i have applied for new work permit based on the lmia number that my owner received. Since its two months already on October 9th, and i haven't heard anything about the new work permit nor the lmia that my owner had applied. Please advise as i am very nervous and tense with this.

Unfortunately there's really nothing you can do but wait. You'll have to hope the LMIA is approved before IRCC makes a decision for your work permit application.

Thanks for your response. What if lmia is not approved before IRCC. Pick up my file. Do i have enough time to apply restoration?.
