Work permit expired while waiting for pr

Before I start ..I want to to thank you for one each of person over this forum that can help me to answer my question .
So
My fiancé had applied for his PR and he got ANP nominee as well but he leave his job earlier and now still looking for the new job
While we are waiting for the PR his work permit get expired soon within 10 day .
So what should we do and what will happen if till that day expired and we can’t apply work permit coz didn’t get new job ?
Can we apply work permit after expired??

You guys need to apply now before your work permit expires. Once, you apply before it’s expired, you automatically have “implied status”. So, you can work until it’s renewed or you get PR. Do you have an open work permit? See below:

He have open work permit ..and he applied as supervisor ..but unfortunately he didn’t get the job yet
So I wonder what with happen if he applied work permit with different job than what he put already on his PR file
Is it ok to do that ?
