My friend's document had been picked up last November 18, 2012 via Air21 and it arrived in Canadian Embassy on November 21, 2012 as based on the tracking number provided by the said courier. But unfortunately, he forgot to include the "Document Checklist" form but instead he just attached the "Itemized Document Checklist." The question is, will the embassy still need that Document Checklist form or the Itemized Document Checklist will do???

I am also waiting for my new work permit. It's been 2 mos and 10 days already since I've applied it online but still no response.

Please share your thoughts. Hi I submitted my completed application to the embassy in Jamaica on Oct. 3. Still have not heard nothing yet. Any idea howmuch longer it will take????

Usually, after you submitted your documents to the embassy you will receive an AOR or Acknowledgement of Receipt within 3-4 weeks. But I've read on the CIC website that they will temporarily stop sending AOR due to the high volume of application they've received. If there will be no problem with your documents then you can expect to receive a Medical Instruction with 6-8 weeks. In my case, after I submitted my documents to the embassy, I've received both AOR and Medical Instructions within 1 month from the date I submitted my documents.
