Hello
I’ve applied for Canada express entry and waiting for an ITA. In the meanwhile I reached out to a consultancy for help with my express entry process.
I do have 34 months of work experience as a software engineer. My consultant tells me that I should have 1 year of continuous full-time employment with an employer for my work history to be valid. However, I don’t have 1 year of continuous employment with a single employer. I was working in contractor based roles and although I worked for 18 months in a previous project, I initially joined as a contractor and later converted to full time. So that 18 months has been split into 10 and 8 months of work with 2 different employers.
so is all of my work experience invalid if I don’t work in a full-time role for 12 months continuously with a employer ?
Any advice or suggestion is appreciated. Thank you.
