Hey everyone
I studied computer software engineering from 2012 and got my degree in 2017 and worked as a full time software developer from 2013 to 2017 in a company and now the express entry form has got me confused.
In the section that asks:
Date "applicant name" first became qualified to practice in this occupation? I answered with the date I got my university degree.
So,considering that I started working about a year after entering university, I was wondering does it cause any problem?(I chose 2173 as my NOC if it matters)
Software developer is a bit different I guess. If you were a lawyer, doctor or accountant yes you can’t work before a degree. But these days even a 15 year old could be a software developer and infact there are many under 18 kids also who have their own apps. So yes you finished your degree later but if you have proof you were working full time in that role before you got degree certificate then it should be okay.
