I am a recent graduate in Canada and applied for the open work permit for Hong Kong recent graduates under the public policy. My study permit is valid until 7/30. I know that after applying PGWP, people can work full time while waiting for the decision but what about the open work permit in my case? Am I eligible to work full time while waiting?
As per paragraph R186(w), graduates who apply for a work permit, such as a post-graduation work permit, before the expiry of their study permit are eligible to work full time without a work permit while waiting for a decision.
