Work Experience?

Hey,

I have been working as a software Developer for 16 months. It is a part time job and I usually work between 12 - 20 hours/week.

For the last 3 months I have been working 40 hours/ week.

All this adds up to 1560 hours.

Will I qualify for Express Entry ? Will the 40 hours/week count or will they count that as 30 hours ?

No, you cannot count more than 30 hours per week when working full-time.

Some people think "oh I work 80 hours per week, i'll have a year of work experience in 6 months" but that's not the case, one must work the required hours AND for a period of one year assuming full-time (or the equivalent in part-time).
