Work Experience Query

Hello! I'd like to ask for the work experience does it have to be continuous or can it be cumulative?

I have worked with company A for 11 months and then I've worked with company B for 4 months and the gap between both companies is 9 days. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

So is it 1 year continuous like no gaps or can it have gaps but if you add the months it would total to 1 year?
