Hi,
I am preparing for my PR application and would appreciate if anyone has experience or knowledge with the following:

1) I work in a salaried full time position (NOC 0) and paid biweekly. Although I am salaried, my pay stubs indicate 86.6 hours every two weeks, or 43.4 hours each week. I usually end of working around 55 hours a week. For the minimum 1 year work experience requirement for CEC, do I need 1 actual year, as in 52 weeks, or would a total of 1560 hours suffice (less than 1 actual year in my case)? Has anyone done this before without problems?

2) I also did engineering co-op (NOC A) for 1 year (approx 2200 hours) in Canada as part of my degree. Is there a way to get points for this, either in EE CRS or CEC?

Cheers,

It is a minimum of one year (52 weeks) of full-time employment. (1560 hours is for part-time workers, who by definition will have to work longer than a year to meet the requirement). You need a full year.

Unfortunately, no, no work experience completed as a student in Canada will be accepted.
