My work permit is expiring soon. I completed my studies in August 2014. I applied for my work permit September 2014 and started working on September 20, 2014 after applying for post graduate work permit. My work permit came on November 2014. Now can I apply under express entry from September 20, 2015 after completion of 1 year of work or should I need to wait till November 20, 2015. I don't want to leave for my home country and then apply. Does work done after completion of studies and after applying for work permit but before the work permit comes counted under CEC.
Seems like u r talking about 2014.. now for Express Entry you cannot apply for PR until you are invited by CIC to apply. The days of completing 1 year and automatically applying for CEC are in the past.
Once you make an EE profile, I am sure it will automatically count your experience post graduation towards CEC points accumulation.
However, you can count your experience from the day you were confirmed as a graduate by your univ/ college. I graduate in May and got my PWGP in August. But, I had OCWP which allowed me to take a full time job right after graduation and count it towards my CEC experience. All you need is a proof of graduation which is generally provided by univs/colleges through Letter of Graduation Confirmation.
